Patna: Police on Sunday arrested Umesh Kumar Narayan, who is accused of killing contractor Moti Kumar Singh in the parking lot of Faizal complex on Fraser Road under Kotwali police station area on March 17.

Umesh told police that he used to help Moti in taking contracts of different departments. Umesh owed some amount to Moti who was pressurizing him to pay. “Umesh shot at Moti over the altercation on payment issue and fled from the spot. He first went to Gaya and gave his licensed weapon to one of his associates. The weapon has been recovered from a house at Pakri Barawan in Nawada,” said Patna SSP Manu Maharaaj.
