Dubious Arts topper of Bihar Board exams Ruby Rai, who was on Saturday arrested by the police after she failed in the re-test has been sent to judicial custody till July 8.
Rai who was absconding for weeks, appeared for a re-test before the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) after failing to appear for the interview on two earlier occasions. Hence, she was given another chance to do so.
All the dubious toppers were asked to sit for a re-test, but Ruby Rai, in an unprecedented move, had skipped the examination. Her family had written to the former chairman of the BSEB – Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh, seeking her exemption from the re-test, owing to ill health.
The Arts topper from Bihar stoked a huge controversy when it came to the fore that she was clueless about her subjects in which she had topped and termed Political Science as ‘Prodigal Science’, which according to her is a subject related to one’s cooking skills.
